Types of data collected

The website offers informative and sometimes interactive content. During navigation, the Website may, therefore, acquire information about the visitor, in the following ways:

Browsing data

During their normal operation, the computer systems and software procedures used to operate this Website acquire some personal data whose transmission is implied when using Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected with the intention of associating it with any identified Data Subjects. However, due to its nature, it might lead to the identification of users through processing and association with data held by third parties. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers employed by users who connect to the website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and IT environment. This data is only used to gather anonymous statistics concerning use of the Website and to check that it is functioning correctly. It is deleted immediately after processing. The data may be used to determine liability if cyber crimes are committed against the Website.

Third-Party Analysis and Marketing Tools

This website uses analysis and marketing tools provided by third parties in order to improve the user experience, optimise advertising campaigns, and understand user interactions with our content. The use of these tools is carried out in compliance with current data protection regulations, in particular EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), and after obtaining specific user consent, where required.

Google Analytics

For the analysis of web traffic and interactions on the website, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). Google Analytics collects information on website usage, such as pages visited, time spent, type of device and browser used, IP address (anonymised) and other behavioural metrics. This data is processed in aggregate and anonymised form, with the aim of understanding how our website is used and improving the effectiveness of our content.

Legal Basis of Processing: The processing of data via Google Analytics is based on the legitimate interest of the Data Controller to improve its website and the services offered. In some contexts, particularly where data transfers are involved that do not benefit from adequacy mechanisms, the legal basis may be the user's consent, collected by way of the cookie banner on the website.

Data Transfers: Although Google is committed to GDPR compliance and offers mechanisms to anonymise IP addresses, data collected by Google Analytics may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside the European Union (e.g. in the United States). In such cases, the Data Controller undertakes to take appropriate measures to ensure an adequate level of data protection, such as the implementation of the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or other transfer mechanisms deemed valid under the GDPR.

For more information on how Google processes data, please consult Google's privacy policy at the following address: https://policies.google.com/privacy. The user can deactivate the collection of data by Google Analytics by installing the relevant browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics, available at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Ads and Floodlight (Improved Conversions)

To optimise our advertising campaigns and measure the effectiveness of conversions, we use Google Ads and Floodlight, tools provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). In particular, we make use of the Enhanced Conversions feature.

Enhanced Conversions improve the accuracy of conversion measurement, providing Google with more accurate and detailed conversion data while maintaining user privacy protection. This feature works by sending Google hashed and anonymised conversion data (e.g. email addresses, names, telephone numbers and addresses) that our customers provide to us via contact or purchase forms on the website. This data undergoes an irreversible hashing process before being sent to Google, which means that the original data cannot be recovered. Google compares this hashed data with hashed data from the Google accounts of users who have interacted with our ads in order to attribute conversions more precisely, without ever directly identifying the user.

Type of Data Collected for Enhanced Conversions: Data used for Enhanced Conversions may include, but is not limited to, email addresses, names, telephone numbers and postal addresses. It is essential to reiterate that this data is hashed and anonymised before being sent to Google, ensuring that it is not directly identifiable.

Legal Basis of Processing: The use of Enhanced Conversions, which entails the processing of pseudonymised data for the purposes of measuring conversions and optimising advertising campaigns, is based on the legitimate interest of the Data Controller to improve the effectiveness of its marketing activities. Where required by current legislation, or if the data is not sufficiently anonymised, the legal basis is the explicit consent of the user, collected by way of our cookie banner.

Data Transfers: The hashed data used for Enhanced Conversions may be transferred to and stored on Google servers located outside the European Union (e.g. in the United States). The Data Controller is committed to ensuring that such transfers take place in compliance with the provisions of the GDPR by adopting the necessary safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other valid transfer mechanisms, in order to ensure an adequate level of protection of personal data.

For more information on how Google processes data and on the features of Enhanced Conversions, please consult Google's privacy policy at the following address: https://policies.google.com/privacy and the Google Ads and Floodlight support resources.

Meta Events Manager and Meta Pixel

The website integrates Meta Events Manager and the Meta Pixel, tools provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited ("Meta"), in order to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Meta platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) and to optimise the user experience. The Meta Pixel is a small piece of code that collects information about users' interactions with our website, including events (e.g. page views, button clicks, purchases) and some technical information related to their device and browser. This information allows us to create customised audience segments, offer more relevant ads, and analyse the conversions generated by our marketing activities.

Type of Data Collected: Data collected by the Meta Pixel may include IP addresses, browser information, cookie data, pages visited and specific events occurring on the website. This data is processed in such a way that the user cannot directly be identified without further information.

Legal Basis of Processing: The use of Meta Events Manager and the Meta Pixel, which entails the collection of data for profiling and marketing purposes, only takes place with the explicit consent of the user, collected by way of our cookie banner. The user may withhold or revoke this consent at any time.

Data Transfers: Data collected via Meta Events Manager and the Meta Pixel may be transferred to and stored by Meta on servers located outside the European Union (e.g. in the United States).

For more information on Meta's data processing and privacy policies, please consult Meta's Privacy Policy at the following address: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. The user can manage their preferences concerning Meta ads through the settings of their Facebook account or through the available opt-out platforms.
