Giovanni Raspini as unique sponsor of this Summer's cultural event. Two prestigious locations. An special curator. And a first-class artist. All this in an exhibition of which the brand Giovanni Raspini is the sole sponsor, promoted by the Tuscan designer, as a gesture of love for his land, giving an occasion of primary cultural expression.

The exhibition Theimer’s dream, from June 24th to January 8th, gathers the works of the Moravian sculptor in the newly restored premises of the Medici Fortress and the Contemporary Art Gallery. It sees the famous art critic Vittorio Sgarbi as scientific curator and has every chance for becoming the 2016 Summer event.

Ivan Theimer is one of the greatest living sculptors, creator of extraordinary bronzes: able to put into symbolic fascinating forms humans, animals or the entire plant kingdom. Despite the enigmatic variety of symbols, which are derived from his unique culture and sensitivity, his mark is understandable and haunting, always bond to a complete sense that never betrays. We remain magnetized by his works, attracted into their depths, to comprehend their most intimate details, remote yet absolutely modern.

Theimer’s sculptures are present in public places of great prestige, such as the Monument of human rights and citizens of Paris located in the Champ de Mars, commissioned directly by Francois Mitterand, or the three bronze obelisks in the Eliseum Palace. An idea that came to Giovanni Raspini, immediately married by Ghinelli, the mayor of Arezzo and which, along the way, also involved Vittorio Sgarbi as the curator. "Theimer is a personal friend" - tells Giovanni Raspini - and I can say that with this exhibition a dream came true. He is called “Mitterrand sculptor” but his intensity and his modernity span 360° degrees. Falling in love, and the chemistry between Theimer and Fortress were immediate, now it's up to Arezzo to fall in love with this great artist."
