"Rocco e i suoi fratelli": pictures from the set of a masterpiece.

Released in 1960, the movie "Rocco e i suoi fratelli" was inspired by the book of short stories "The Ghisolfa bridge" by Giovanni Testori, it obtained the top Jury award at the Venice Film Festival, and also achieved extraordinary public success, despite the complaints and criticisms of conformists. To honour Visconti's Masterpiece, and the city of Milan, we wish to garnish the article with some authentic period Photographs shot by Paul Ronald, the Director's trusted French photographer. These belong to the Giovanni Raspini collection and express a sincere homage to the talent and perception of one of the most sought after photographers of Italian cinema of those years.
